(Dress and Necklace from Forever 21, Shoes from CMG)
At first, I was a bit hesitant to post these pictures since this is the exact same dress my sister Nina wore a few posts before. But, whatever, it's our blog so we sort of make the rules here and i'm a self-confessed outfit repeater anyway (very badass yeah?) Hahaha! Anyway, I love this dress because its so loose and the print takes me back to the 90's. Personally, I'm not a big fan of tight clothes because I always get self-conscious and try to suck in my stomach all the time which makes me run out of air and in turn makes me dizzy. So the solution is to always wear comfy yet cute clothes. I have high respect to those women who are not afraid to show their curves. If only my curves were the right curves, but I am one of those girls who have an abnormally large stomach for my body type. Or maybe I just eat too much.

This picture was taken last week, when me and my mom went to Adefuin Design Studio's office launch. Sorry for the lack of updates, the past week has been crazy. My sister-in-law gave birth to a bouncing baby boy last July 14 and he's our first nephew. I could stare at him for hours and never get bored, babies tend to have that effect on me. Then during the weekend we finally got to see Harry Potter in 3D. I put on my prescription glasses over the 3D glasses since apparently the ENTIRE movie is in 3D which means I cannot watch the movie without the 3D glasses (doh!). I sort of got used to having the 3D glasses at the tip of my nose (which I guess I have to be thankful since it means I don't have a big nose to carry both my prescription glasses and 3D glasses?) although I had problems when I started crying since I had to take off both the glasses. My sister Nina whispered to me, "why are you crying, there's nothing to cry about yet" then I replied, "I'm crying because I know what's gonna happen next." Crazy much? I think yes.
My Home Magazine recently featured our home away from home designed by our interior designer Jigs Adefuin. These are some of the pictures that were not published in the magazine which I thought I should share with you guys. The purple room is mine, the walls are actually gray but they have a hint of purple in them. The blue room is Nina and Pat's room and the walls are called Tiffany Blue. Jigs Adefuin is an AMAZING interior designer, I never expected our tiny apartment could look anything like this but he made it so beautiful its incredibly breathtaking. Our apartment is like Narnia - the entrance is a narrow door which you'll almost miss if you blink twice. Then after two flights of stairs (we're on the third floor) you are greeted by an amazing mixture of contemporary and modern art that's still comfortable and definitely makes you feel like home. It's kind of nice to wake up in the morning and see beauty around you. And it doesn't hurt that the infamous http://sophiesmom.com/ is on the first floor ready to serve your mochi needs. Hahaha.

Finally got to watch Transformers during the weekend with the family. Personally, I'm not into action movies but for the hotness that is Shia LaBeouf I am willing to sit still and watch robots fight each other to death. The only problem I still have is with 3D movies since I have a dirty little secret - when the lights go out at the start of the movie I immediately whip out my prescription glasses. I am still contemplating whether it's right to put on the 3D glasses on top of my prescription glasses but as of now I watch the movie half of the time without the 3D glasses because I get dizzy if I put it on for longer than 30 minutes.
Anyway, on to the pictures. Well, they're bad I know. The light is horrendous since we took these when the mall was already closed since we're all so shy to take pictures in public considering we're not tourists. I mean, I think even the guard in Greenbelt knows us already because we go there every week. Hahaha! Oh and there's our dad trying to get in the shot with Pat, he's crazy like that. He kept singing Michael Jackson songs to me because of my jacket. I'm actually used to the teasing by now since I ALWAYS get teased whenever I wear the jacket because it has stars and tassels on the shoulders and so my classmates keep calling me "General" and now my dad with Michael Jackson. I don't even explain that it's inspired by Balmain, I mean what's the point?
SuperSale Bazaar Series 2nd leg – The July Transitional Phase
We've been knee deep in June gloom—the unpredictable weather of humid hotness accompanied by the uncertain rain pour. So when we saw July on the horizon, we couldn't help but feel the need to start celebrating this month with another installment of the SuperSale Bazaar’s “End of Season Sale”. After all, the 3-day sale calls and we wouldn't want you to miss the opportunity to grab summer items on up to 90% off. This transitional month not only showcases last season’s items but also chic pieces to help us get ahead into Fall. The SuperSale Bazaar this July 15-17, 2011, Friday-Sunday from 10am-9pm, offers only the best and freshest stocked closet! The Rockwell Tent will not only be filled with your favorite local designer brands but also upcoming new labels that will surely grab your attention.
Patience is a not a virtue fashionistas embody—at least when it comes to our wardrobes. We barely settle into the current season's trends before becoming anxious about experimenting with the next, which probably explains the countless hours we spend searching for great transitional wear. So what do we do when our sartorial anxieties take hold? We turn to our coveted brands that mostly sell their items online. On that note, we have filled The Tent with our own selection of local designer labels that have mastered their collections of between-season looks. From a healthy serving of all things 70s to the perfect blend of gender play styles, we've got a slew of wonderful outfit ideas you will certainly would want to take home with you this pay day weekend.
We are once again giving you a little head start on all of must-have items to transition ever so gracefully before we break into the Holiday season by giving you sartorial brads like Olivia & Fifth, Glitterati, Moonshine, Celline, Kitty and Bee, Fancy Flats, Sole Service, Soak Swimwear, Tonic, Androgyny, Suelas, Posh Pocket Shoes, I Love Koi, Vida Jewelries, Eight One, and lots more.
My sister Nina had a week-long birthday celebration, mostly composed of dinner with her bestfriend last June 30th (her actual birthday), lunch with the family on Sunday and Monday dinner/drinking session with her friends. We wore these outfits, however, for just movie and dinner with our parents and our sister Pat who didn't want to have her picture taken.

Also, I went to the Zara sale and would you believe I actually bought just 2 items? I'm currently saving for a trip on August! The cover-up is one of the two things I bought at Zara. I've been in love with this since the moment I saw it but it was too expensive so when it went on sale (although it wasn't really cheap still) I bought it anyway since I was afraid it'll get out of stock.

Oh, and I TRIED to curl my hair here but it ended up becoming an epic fail that's why it's all over the place. I have no idea how to style my hair, good thing I have it colored so it kind of looks like I care but sometimes I really don't.
Whenever I go online window shopping, I like to pretend I'm uber rich that I pick out items that I'd totally buy if I had all the money in the world. I came across these Lanvin sandals (that's on sale by the way) at net-a-porter and I thought this would be perfect for summer in the shores of Southern France (preferably in Nice). Perfection.
